In this latest edition of Ethics in Conversation (26.7), KLC Associate Fellow and member of KLC’s Leadership Team, Genevieve Wedgbury, introduces us to the vital concept of body literacy as well as outlines some of her journey in becoming body literate.
For Genevieve growing to understand our bodies in all their intricacies is foundational for living as an embodied human being in God’s world and before his face. She writes, “Getting to know my body and understand how it works in particular, has been life transforming for me. There is no doubt in my mind that taking responsibility for our health and well-being, where we can, enables us to partner more effectively with Christ in the abundant life he offers us” (4-5).
