Starting a New Hub

At KLC, we encourage our fellows to get involved with one or more of our hubs, which, with some exceptions, are disciplinary-specific groups aimed at exploring ways in which integrating the Christian faith with one’s discipline can yield fruit for the gospel and the common good. From these hubs, initiatives may take shape and become projects that KLC adopts and helps to facilitate.

There is an existing list of hubs that you can apply to join, though membership numbers are limited in some cases. If you notice that there is not a hub in your field and/or you have a desire to start a new one, we encourage you to follow these steps:

  • Build connections with other fellows or Christian colleagues with whom you might be interested in forming such a hub. If your interest in forming such a hub stems from not having such connections, KLC can likely introduce you to people in our community who are in related fields.
  • Contact us at admin@kirbylaingcentre.co.uk to request the hubs policy document.
  • Have a few meetings with other interested members to discuss what shape the hub might take and whether there is a desire to grow such a community at KLC.
  • If there is clear impetus behind this group, submit your idea and relevant details, and we’ll arrange a meeting with the director to discuss.

An application portal will be available on this page soon; until that time applications can be moved forward by emailing admin@kirbylaingcentre.co.uk.
