Shawn teaches a wide variety of subjects to an even wider variety of students at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, NC, where he also helps pastor a local church. He is a KLC PhD research supervisor and a teaching fellow with the Alexandrian Institute in partnership with Union Theological College, Belfast. He holds degrees in theology and mathematics and received his PhD from the University of Aberdeen under the supervision of Craig Bartholomew. His research interests include epistemology and theories of truth; early analytic philosophy and mathematical logic; theological method and biblical interpretation; and the theology of the Psalms. When his head is not in theoretical clouds, he enjoys flying through actual ones with his family.
