Lecture 1: Divine Action and the Decalogue

This year is KLC’s “Year of the Decalogue,” as we anticipate the publication of Craig Bartholomew’s Moses and the Victory of Yahweh. As part of this focus, KLC will be running a series of lectures on topics relevant to the Decalogue.

The first in the series takes place in just over a week. Craig Bartholomew is presenting the introductory lecture, “Divine Action and the Decalogue: Sacred Order and Social Order.

Philip Rieff described the giving of the Mosaic Law as representing the “translation of the sacred order into social order.” Against the backdrop of the weakening of social order across the modern world, Craig explores how these orders are related and what this means for the task of public theology today.

Please be aware that this event starts at 5:30 pm UK time, which is still GMT for the month of March. If your clocks have already changed for the new season, please take note of when this is in your timezone.
