I have a Masters and PhD in the History of Art, but spent much of my career in church leadership. I have worked a lot in C19th and C20th European art, and wrote More Than a Bookshop: Zwemmer’s and Art in the Twentieth Century. I now work mostly at the intersection of the gospel and visual art, focusing mostly on the Renaissance and Mannerist periods. I have recently published a novel, Taboo, addressing issues of meaning and morality in contemporary art.
