Paul A. Hartog (PhD, Loyola University Chicago) is Professor of Theology at Faith Baptist Seminary. His research primarily focuses upon the Apostolic Fathers and second-century Christianity, religious liberty, information ethics, and the doctrine of the atonement. He is the author of Polycarp and the New Testament (Mohr Siebeck, 2002), Polycarp’s Epistle to the Philippians and the Martyrdom of Polycarp (Oxford, 2013), and Calvin on the Death of Christ (James Clarke, 2023); and he is the editor of The Contemporary Church and the Early Church (Pickwick, 2009) and Orthodoxy and Heresy in Early Christian Contexts (James Clarke, 2015).
