Esgrid was a Mathematics Lecturer in Guatemala, where he’s from, before moving to the UK to study Philosophy of Science and Religion at the University of Edinburgh. His PhD was on Philosophical Hermeneutics (Gadamer) and the multilayered nature of Science and Religion discourses, mostly in western contexts and of western provenance. He’s also published on the Incarnation, the Hermeneutics of Nature and Scripture, and the Philosophy of Science and Religion of Andrew Steane. As an Engineer and Educator he’s interested in practical knowledge (phronesis). Esgrid currently works in the UK as Delivery Director of degree apprenticeships at Corndel College London.
