Oscar XIAO is a doctoral researcher at the Queen’s Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education, Birmingham. He has devoted his vocation to teaching in schools and theological institutions, alongside sustained service in local church contexts. Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, Oscar is committed to engaging diverse communities and offering support to those in need.

His faith journey spans mainland China, Hong Kong, the United States, Scotland, and England, shaping a public, pastoral, and academically grounded approach to theology. He previously served as a Research Associate at the Cambridge Centre for Christianity Worldwide, where his work explored the theology of hospitality in relation to Hong Kong migrants in the UK. Oscar also serves on the Mission Committee of the British Methodist Church, advocating for cross-cultural mission and ministry and contributing to theological reflection on faith, migration, and public life within multicultural contexts.
