Starting a Mission Group

At KLC, we encourage our fellows to get involved with one or more of our hubs, which, with some exceptions, are disciplinary-specific groups aimed at exploring ways in which integrating the Christian faith with one’s discipline can yield fruit for the gospel and the common good. From these hubs, initiatives may take shape and become projects that KLC adopts and helps to facilitate.

Though this is the usual pattern, there are other ways that our fellows may choose to connect and from which initiatives might develop, including:

  • Common location
  • A shared interest or concern
  • An interdisciplinary need

In such cases, fellows may apply to start a KLC project outside of the hub structure in a specially convened mission group, which formally brings together a team of collaborators for the length of the project’s development. Starting such a group involves the submission of a brief description of the reason for convening the group, plus the completion of our usual project application.

An application portal will be available on this page soon; until that time applications can be moved forward by emailing admin@kirbylaingcentre.co.uk.
